The slide show above is from the conservation work which is continuing in the Wharenui at Muriwai in conjunction with advice from a conservator.
With the Hall completed and the Kitchen renovations approaching completion the next phase of the Marae restoration project are about to begin, these are the current architectural plans for the Wharepaku upgrades (click on images to view them).
Architects 44 also completed an assessment of the work which needs to be done to preserve the Wharenui and Dining Hall, they identified a number of issues along with cost estimations to repair/prevent against them reoccurring.
